Positive cases increasing among 17-30 year olds

Local News

Cortland County health officials are urging the community to remain vigilant in their efforts to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, amid an increase in positive cases reported among 17-30 year olds.

Many of these individuals are symptomatic and could pose a risk to their close contacts, such as older loved ones.

With summer graduation parties and other social events picking up, residents should continue to wear a mask and follow all health guidelines.

The health department asks anyone with concerns about a local business or employer not adhering to COVID- 19 guidelines (including mask wearing and social distancing), please call 607-753-5049 or 1-833-789-0470.

  • If you travel to an affected state with widespread COVID-19, you are required to quarantine for 14 days upon your return to New York State.
  • STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK!

Anyone in New York State is eligible to get a COVID-19 test.
