Portion of Route 11 in Cortland County Named in State’s 2026 Paving Projects
Two sections of Route 11 in Cortland County will be resurfaced next year, according to the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). The news follows Governor Hochul’s largest investment in history to the NYSDOT for paving projects, $800 million in total for 185 projects across the state. Out of the 185 projects, 8 will be in Central New York totaling $25.3 million dollars.
The NYSDOT says Route 11 from the Broome County line to Pine Road, will be resurfaced. Route 11 will also be resurfaced from Route 41 to Health Camp Road. Work will cover Route 11 through Marathon, Lapeer, Virgil, and Homer. The project is estimated to cost $2.5 million.
The projects announced are an addition to the paving initiatives the NYSDOT already has scheduled for 2026.
