A Cortland woman was arrested late Wednesday (February 19) night after police say she consumed alcohol to the point where she went unconscious, while three children were under her care.
After one of the children called 911, city police and EMS crews responded just past 11 pm to the Clinton Avenue residence of 34-year-old Sarah Haberstroh.
Those first on-scene reported finding the children upset and crying.
When Haberstroh did regain consciousness, she reportedly struck an officer and proceeded to resist being taken into custody.
Her children were later turned over to a family member and she was arraigned, then released to reappear in City Court on March 6.
