Runaway Homer teenager still missing

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office continues its search for a missing Homer teen who was last seen July 26.

Investigators say 17-year-old Shaila Paniagua may have fled the area with her 19-year-old boyfriend.

Yesterday, the Sheriff’s Office shared a poster made by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children:

Authorities are asking for help locating a runaway female juvenile, last seen at her home in the village of Homer around 8:30 pm on Sunday (July 26).

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Shaila Paniagua may have fled with her boyfriend, 19-year-old Camerion J. Boda.

Paniagua is not believed to be in any danger at this time, according to Sgt. Stacy Billings.

Her description is as follows:

  • Hispanic female
  • reddish-brown curly hair
  • brown eyes
  • 5 feet 6 inch tall
  • Around 180 pounds
  • Last seen possibly wearing black leggings.

Cortland, Ithaca and Lansing have all been listed as areas where the couple could potentially be located.
