In the early morning hours of Christmas Eve officers from the Cortland County Sheriff”s Department found a vehicle in the middle of the road with a couple asleep at the wheel.
In a release from the Sheriff’s Office, officers found a vehicle parked in the roadway on Long Road in the Town of Scott around 4:30am on December 24th.
Police found the vehicle was occupied by John Delany and Brandy Lyman, both were asleep in the vehicle.
John Delany attempted to give officers a fake name to avoid being arrested for not having a New York State driver’s license.
Officers also found both occupants to be in possession of several hypodermic needles and marijuana.
They were being held on $500 cash bail, $1,000 Cash bail.
