Man Arrested After Possession of Stolen Vehicle




On May 2nd around 10am, Cortland City Police responded to the parking lot of 44 Rickard Street in the City of Cortland.

City Police discovered 34 year old Stephen J. Hirsh to be in possession of a black 2008 Nissan Frontier truck that was reported stolen on April 5, 2022 from a used car dealership in the town of Davenport, NY.

Officers arrested, processed, and arraigned in Cortland City Court. Hirsh was remanded to the Cortland County Jail.


Cortland Police Arrest Man in Possession of Stolen Bike

Christopher J. Gleason was found by Cortland City Police officers in possession of a stolen Specialized Crossroads mountain bike that had a value of around $800. The bike was reported stolen to the police department back on February 2, 2022.

Gleason was arrested, processed, and released on an appearance ticket. He is due back in city court on May 23.
