The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Virgil man for suspended license and an altered motorcycle registration.
Police say on Tuesday (November 30th) at Noon they conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle on State Route 222 in the Town of Cortlandville. They discovered that Christopher Gleason, had a suspended driver’s license and the motorcycle registration was altered. He was also found in possession of a controlled substance.
He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled o return to the Town of Cortlandville Court on December 15th.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Village of Marathon for a complaint of a forgery.
Police report a Cortland man, Christopher Lella, age 63, signed a persons name to a commercial instrument.
After an investigation police found out he did sign the person’s name.
He’s charged with Forgery in the 2nd Degree, a felony.
Yesterday, (December 2nd) he turned himself in to authorities and was arraigned in Cortland City Court.
He was released on his own recognizance and is due to reappear in court on January 19th.
