Drew Broderick joined us today for another “Peek at the Peak” segment:
Wind chills are expected to remain well below zero through Sunday. If that’s good news for anyone, it’s fanatics of winter snow sports.
Be sure to bundle up before you head to the slopes — temperatures this cold can cause frostbite on uncovered skin in as little as 30 minutes. Texture is key when layering up.
While you’ll want an extra undershirt or two, cotton is more likely to absorb sweat and freeze. Polyester and other less absorbent options are the better option to stay comfortable.
Broderick also recommends staying hydrated and taking plenty of breaks to warm up.
