Both candidates in the disputed race for New York’s 22nd Congressional District called in to discuss the ongoing process.
As of Friday, former Rep. Claudia Tenney claims a lead of 19 votes over incumbent Congressman Anthony Brindisi.
Hundreds of objections still need to be verified that could sway momentum one way or another.
Last time these two squared off in 2018, Brindisi unseated Tenney in a narrow election that wasn’t decided until the end of November. Few would have guess another race could go longer.
Now heading into the holidays, Justice Scott DelConte said this week he strives to have everything worked out before the new Congress meets in January.
