On today’s Meet Cortland County:
Deborah Nadolski of the Cortland Memorial Foundation joined WXHC’s Vinnie Bellardini to discuss the new cancer treatment center arriving soon at Guthrie, on schedule to open in late August.
Earlier this week, Nicholas Renzi — retired president of Pall Corp in Cortland — revealed his identify as the anonymous donor who pledged a $1M match towards the project in a community fundraising challenge he launched back in December.
Hitting that goal took just a few months.
Nadolski lost her husband to the disease in 2017, following a year-and-a-half battle that required frequent trips to appointments. Many of these were in Syracuse due to a lack of the care he needed closer to home.
That all changes starting this summer.
