Plan Head as 120 Million Americans Will Travel For The Holidays

The holidays are just away and now is the time to plan ahead if you plan to travel at least 50 miles or more. AAA says this year, 119.3 million Americans will travel from this past Saturday through Wednesday, January 1st. Out of the nearly 120 million travelers, 107 million will travel by car.

Airports are expected to be busy too with 7.85 million people traveling by air; another 4.47 million will travel through other means such as trains or buses.

The worst time to travel by car through Christmas is the afternoon hours and into the evening. AAA says the best time to avoid heavy traffic or other delays, is to leave before 11 in the morning.
