Local News on WXHC.com is brought to you by:

Back on March 5th, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office began to investigate an “unattended death” at an address on Mill Street in the Town of Lansing.

Through circumstances that were observed by deputies, the Criminal Investigation Division and the Tompkins County Medical Examiner’s Office were contacted by officers to conduct further investigations.

Results from a Forensic Autopsy that was conducted by Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton found the matter of death was in fact a homicide.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is now seeking public assistance in locating 52 year old Larry R. Walrad Jr. who is a person of interest in the homicide investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at their tip-line at 607-266-5420. If you have a real time location on Walrad, the Sheriff’s Office asks you to dial 9-1-1 immediately to report his location.
