Parking Restrictions Announced For Main Street on Monday

Parking on Main Street in Downtown Cortland will be closed between Lincoln Ave. and the Port Watson/Tompkins Street intersection on Monday, July 7th, to allow crews to paint parking lines, Crown City Rising says. Parking will reopen once the work is done and paint is dry.

Those planning to head to Downtown Cortland are reminded parking will be available on Court and West Court Streets as well as Haskell Place. Several public parking lots will also be open.

Main Street will officially convert to two-way on Friday, July 11th. The City of Cortland plans to hold a special ribbon cutting early Friday morning to celebrate the completion of the project. DOT warning signs have been added to nearby major roads to alert motorists of the traffic change. The city says there will also be temporary added signage to remind motorists of the new two-way configuration as well as guides.
