On today’s Meet Cortland County segment:
Members of the Parker Task Force discussed the ins and outs of a project that would repurpose the former elementary school into an early childhood education center used by CAPCO and the YWCA.
Included on the segment: Task Force chair Kristina Gambitta, Cortland schools superintendent Michael Hoose and CAPCO executive director Lindy Glennon.
They’re part of a group that contains dozens of city, county and district leaders, along with members of the local childcare community.
After nearly two years of planning, the next step of the process awaits a public referendum that’s been included in the annual Cortland School District budget vote, being held via absentee this year due to COVID-19.
Ballots are due at the district office by Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m.
