The principal at Cortland’s Parker Elementary School promises a letter to parents via backpack express delivery Monday afternoon.
Joshua Bacigalupi, who previously was a principal at Dryden Elementary School, is one of two finalists to become the next Superintendent of Schools in Dryden.
In the letter, he tells parents he wanted to communicate with them “before the local newspaper covers the story.”
Bacigalupi writes there are many personal and professional reasons to try for the Dryden job and that it has nothing to do with the possibility the Cortland School District may close Parker Elementary.
Monday night is Meet the Candidate night at Dryden schools.
