The Pall Corporation on Route 281 in the Town of Cortlandville presented preliminary plans during last night’s planning board meeting for a 22,000 square foot expansion that would be built on part of the parking lot at the corner of Route 281 and McLean Road.
The new building would be a pre-engineered metal building, and would suit a new product line by the Pall Corporation.

In total, C&S Companies, the company handling the design of the expansion, said about 25 parking spaces would be lost in the expansion. A rework of the current lot where the expansion would be built has been done to accommodate the expansion and the required size for parking spots (10 by 20 feet).
Pall hopes to have construction begin early 2024 with the plant up and running by 2025. The company also said between 13 and 20 high paying jobs would come with the expansion.
Board member Nicholas Renzi praised the proposed expansion, saying Pall is the county’s largest high paying employer and an expansion like this is a good sign.
A more detailed application, including traffic patterns on McLean Road is expected to be presented during the September meeting.
