The new building would be a pre-engineered metal building, and would suit a new product line by the Pall Corporation.

Pall hopes to have construction begin early 2024 with the plant up and running by 2025. The company also said between 13 and 20 high paying jobs would come with the expansion.

Board Member Nicholas Renzi was curious and asked how much the total project cost would be for Pall. A representative for the Pall Corporation said including the equipment inside the expansion, it is estimated between $35 and $40 million dollars.

A further review of the parking layout, board members did note they would like to see the handicap spaces provided in the lot moved closer to the main entrance of the building. Something C&S and Pall said they were happy to do.

The project will have about 25 parking spaces lost in the expansion, board members were concerned if parking would be an issue during a changing shift at the facility. Representatives from Pall said they have reviewed the potential issue and found there will be enough parking to cover for two changing shifts at a time.

The Planning Board then voted unanimously to send the application to Cortland County Planning for review.
