The Pall Corporation plans to reduce their workforce by about 76 in Cortlandville. Information provided to X101 News shows the workforce reduction will take effect by September 1st.

X101 News has reached out both to Pall Corporation and the UAW Local 1326, but have not heard back. Information provided shows Pall has offered an early-out incentive for current employees who are 60 years or older and have been with the company for at least 5 years.

Reasoning for the reduction in workforce at the company was mentioned as a “reduction in demand over the past several months.”

“Pall Corporation is a strong player in our local economy and has been for decades but is subject to the same market conditions as any other manufacturer in America today. We will let the company speak for itself but we’re hopeful that this workforce reduction is more the result of cyclical pressures on that sector than anything else”. Said Executive Director Garry VanGorder of the Cortland County BDC/IDA to X101 News.

X101 News will provide an update once available.
