P.S. I Love You Day is tomorrow, February 9th. The day is a day where people are asked to wear purple to stand up against bullying, help and end depression, and prevent suicide. This year’s theme is: Love is Meant to be Given.
The day was founded by the DiPalma family to recognize their father and a student from West Islip High School who both died by suicide in early 2010. P.S. I Love You Day is held every second Friday in February and the family asks everyone to wear purple to stand up against bullying, help end depression, and work to prevent suicide.
Help is available through the NY State Emotional Support Hotline at 1-844-863-9314 or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention via call or text at 988.
