During their November fundraising campaign, Price Chopper and Market 32 were able to raise $70,400 dollars to benefit the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Customers were asked when checking out at the grocery stores to round up their totals at the register.

“Disabled American Veterans goes above and beyond in their efforts to provide veterans and their families lifetime support, free rides to medical appointments and connections to meaningful employment opportunities,” said Mona Golub, Price Chopper/Market 32’s vice president of public relations and consumer services.

The goal of the DAV is to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with the respect and dignity they have earned. The DAV works to ensure veterans and their families have access to the benefits available to them, and educate the public on the sacrifices veterans make and needs of veterans transitioning back to normal life.
