Over 3,000 Pounds of Food Provided to 242 Families During Seven Valleys Drive-Thru Food Giveaway

The Seven Valleys Health Coalition gave away 3,388 pounds of food during their drive-thru food giveaway this past Thursday at the Seven Valleys Food Rescue at the Homer Ave Plaza. In total, the organization provided food to 242 families.

Seven Valleys says with the help of the community they’re a part of with donations of non-perishable items through numerous food drives the giveaway was able to be a major success. Items included in the giveaway included: ground beef, sausage, milk, eggs, cheese, butter, yogurt, squash and frozen veg.

Vehicles could be seen lined up in nearly the entire parking lot with volunteers helping guide traffic. Volunteers also helped pre-pack and distribute bags to vehicles.
