New York State Police have said one person has died and two were injured after a vehicle struck a tree on West Malloryville Road in the Town of Dryden.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the area around 9:45 am on Saturday, October 7th for the report of a vehicle striking a tree. After crews arrived, a rear seat passenger, identified as 35 year old Kimberly L. Anthony of Rochester, died of injuries sustained.
The driver of the vehicle, 38 year old Cora-Su B. Brooks of Groton, was seriously injured and transported to Upstate Medical University Hospital. Front seat passenger 29 year old Rochelle Landon of Ithaca, was also transported to Upstate.
State Police say the vehicle was traveling northbound on Fall Creek Road when the vehicle exited the roadway and continued traveling north before striking a tree in the front yard of 4 West Malloryville Road.
The investigation remains ongoing.
