The New York State Police and the New York State Attorney General’s Office are investigating a domestic dispute in Unadilla, NY just after 7pm Wednesday (December 22) that resulted in the death of one suspect.
Mark A. Beilby, a 24 year old, was armed with a knife inside the home and confronted the first officer to arrive at the scene. Beilby refused to drop his knife after instructed to do so by the officer multiple times. The officer fired his gun at Beilby and struck him.
Beilby was transported to Tri-Town Hospital, then transferred to Wilson Medical Center in Binghamton where he was pronounced dead.
