An investigation led by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and the Cortland County Department of Social Services (DSS) found 30 year old Crissy L. Greene of Cortland, had provided fraudulent information to the County DSS regarding her household composition.
Greene received benefits she wasn’t entitled to in an amount over $2,000 as a result of her fraudulent information provided. She was arrested and charged on Thursday, September 21st, with 2 counts of Offering a False Instrument of Filing in the 1st, Welfare Fraud in the 4th, and Grand Larceny in the 4th, all Felonies.
She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Cortland City Court next month.
