One Arrested After Fight in Walmart Parking Lot

One person has been arrested after a physical fight in the Walmart parking lot on Wednesday, November 20th. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to the parking lot at Walmart around 8:25pm for a domestic disturbance.

An investigation found 44 year old Lanay M. Bovay of Groton, had gotten into a physical altercation with a person known to her in the parking lot of the store. Officers arrested and charged Bovay with Harassment in the 2nd, a Violation. She was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where she was processed and later arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process and released on her own recognizance.

Bovay is due in Cortlandville Town Court early next month.
