On Demand: Meet Cortland County, Saturday, October 7, 2017, Sgt. Amber Morsch, Youth Assistance Program

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is proud to participate in the Logan Jaycees Youth Assistance Program (Formerly Scared Straight). This program is geared towards addressing issues of today’s youth prior to incarceration. This includes but is not limited to peer pressure, drug use, disrespect of parents and police involvement. The YAP program is a positive and more appropriate approach that addresses many issues today’s youth face. The program is designed for youths 12 years of age or older (certain restrictions apply). The scheduled trip is November 2, 2017, to Auburn Correctional Facility. Signed permission packets need to be turned in by October 16, 2017, and can be obtained at the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office or your local school.
