Yvonne L. ( Yacovone) Emm of Cortland passed away Tuesday July 11, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse at the age of 90. Born October 19, 1932 in Cortland, Yvonne was the daughter of Angelo Iacovone and Amelia Yacovone. A Cortland resident her entire life, Yvonne was a graduate of St. Mary’s Parochial School and a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of 66 years; James Emm of Cortland and three children; Trese Emm of North Fort Myers, Florida; Mary Emm (Otto Janke) of Cortland and James (Robin) Emm of Virgil.
a grandson; Michael Emm (Fiancée, Becki Sessions) of Virgil and several in laws, nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents; Yvonne was preceded in death by her sisters; Connie Colongeli and Jeanette Yacovone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. The Christian Rite of Burial and committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
