Toby J. Walker, 44, of Endwell, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.

Toby was born in Cortland, NY, on February 23, 1978. He was a 1996 graduate of Dryden Central School and had been employed as a baseball umpire with the Binghamton Umpire Diamond Group. He also worked in food service at the Maine Endwell School where he was affectionally known as the “Snack Man.” Toby was an avid sports fan who enjoyed all things baseball. He was a member of the United College Umpire and had worked as an umpire for National College Club Baseball (NCBA) and the Cooperstown Dream Park. He was a former member of the Harford Fire Department and Lansing Fire Department. Toby was an entertainer of all and loved to make people smile and laugh. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Megan Carman Walker and their sons, Tannor and Braden Walker, both at home. He also leaves behind his mother, Audrey (Lynn) Rider of Harford; brothers, Joseph (Sharon) Walker of Ashville and Brian (Christi) Rider of Mount Pleasant, NC; mothers-in-law, Kathy Carman of Ithaca and Carla Carman of Zephyrhills, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Raymond “Scooter” Walker and father-in-law, Bill Carman.

A celebration of Toby’s life will be held at a later date and time. In remembrance of Toby, the family has kindly asked that you attend in person or in spirit as Maine Endwell High School defends their NYS football title against Pleasantville High School at the Carrier Dome on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 12:00 noon.
