Obituary of Timothy Patrick Chavoustie


Timothy Patrick Chavoustie, 58, of McGraw, N.Y. went to be with the Lord and his parents on Monday May 23, 2022 and is in the arms of Jesus whole and sanctified.

Timmy was born on September 27, 1963 in Watertown, N.Y., the son of the late Charles and Ruth Chavoustie, Sr. He graduated from McGraw Central School in 1985 and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Timmy worked at the J.M. Murray Center for 37 years. He was a “professional” landscaper, barista, bowler, dancer, comedian, basketball player, traveler, “Mayor” of McGraw, a friend to all animals, Son, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle and a cheese doodle lover.

Timmy is survived by six siblings; Charles Jr. (Suzanne), Andrew Sr. (Debra), Teresa (Lee) Ripley, Mary (Todd) Caufield, Patricia (Mark) Helms and Rebecca (Blaine) Davis. He also leaves behind his nephews and nieces; Julie (Tom), Andrew, Jr. (Stephanie); Kira (David); Stephen (Angelique); Seth; Hunter; Melissa; Taylor (Brendon) and Michael (Taylor); and his great nephews and nieces; Stella; Benjamin; Lucas; Zachary and Sophia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Caughey serving as celebrant. Prayers of committal will follow in McGraw Cemetery.
The Chavoustie family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland, N.Y.
