Obituary of Theodore Gerald Thompson

Theodore Gerald Thompson, 89, of Homer, New York, passed away on December 6, 2024, at the Guthrie Cortland Misty Glen Rehabilitation Facility. Born November 15, 1935, in Marinette, Wisconsin, Ted had been a Homer resident since 1959.

Ted was preceeded in death by his wife of 69 years, Gloria, who passed away on December 5, 2022. Ted is survived by his four children: Gerry (Alison) Thompson of Bozeman, Montana; Sheryl Thompson of Salt Lake City, Utah; Timothy (Pam) Thompson of Foxfield, Colorado; and Nanetta (Moses) LaFountaine of Plattsburgh, New York. Ted’s three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren brought him much joy.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 12-2 pm in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home, 69 N. Main St., Cortland, NY. Prayers of committal in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of family. The family anticipates to have a celebration of Ted’s life at a later date.
