Shirley E. Karam Lewis, 86, passes on to her heavenly reward on May 11, 2021 She was born to Edmund and Mary Karam on October 17, 1934 in Harrisburg, Penn. She attended school in Pennsylvania before moving to Homer, N.Y. graduating in 1952 from Homer High School. On June 30, 1962 she married Theodore E. Lewis.
She enjoyed many employment opportunities as Secretary at Durkee’s Bakery, Manager of the concession at Little York Pavilion and Homer Drive Inn as well as working in the Accounting Dept. at Social Services. For many years Shirley also cared for many children in her home. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and trips to the Casinos.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband and her siblings, Edmund Jr. and Kathie Alderete. Shirley is survived by her sons; Steven, David (Sara) John, James (Paula) as well as granddaughter; Christina Lewis Marks and step grandson; Angel Zazueta and step great grandaughter; Zara Zazueta. Also surviving are siblings; George (Earlotta), Michael, Bernard (Eileen), Mary Louise, Wren and Tricia (John) Woodward as well as several nieces nieces and nephews.
