Mrs. Rosalie Kabana, 90, of Cortlandville, passed away on Monday December 27, 2021 at Mercy House Hospice in Endicott, N.Y. Rosalie was born in Pennsylvania and had been a Cortland resident since 1962.
She was formerly employed as a secretary at S.U.N.Y. Cortland for many years. After retiring Rosalie volunteered for many area organizations. She was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by cousins in Pennsylvania and some very special Cortland friends, including, Ata Abate and Sandy Attleson. Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband; Cyril in 1992.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Please note; masks must be worn during the funeral mass at church. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. Rosalie’s family and friends would like to thank the staff at Mercy House for the wonderful care they gave to Rosalie in her final days and they have asked that contributions in her memory be made to Mercy House 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760
