Ray A. Stevens, 57, of King Ferry, passed away at home unexpectedly on November 21, 2024.

Ray was born on September 10, 1967 in Cortland, a son of the late Georgie Stevens and Jean (Morgan) Fish. He was a resident of the Cortland-McGraw area for many years and worked as a Chef for the Hallmark Company in their operations at Wells College and, most recently, the Northeast College of Science. He was an extremely hard worker, and when he wasn’t working, he was bowling or fishing, he cooked and baked, but always put his wife first!

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Rafferty) Stevens; his children James Keeney, Clarissa Keeney, Ryan Stevens, Amanda Stanton, and Courtney Miles, step-daughter, Louise (Bruce) Baker; ten grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Jerry Stevens, Shari Stevens, Jim Fish, John Fish, and Jeanette Singer; close family, Colleen and Craig Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 30 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10117 NYS Route 90, Genoa. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, preceding the service.
