Peter James Tutino, 80, of Sarasota, passed away November 7, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Peter was born May 15, 1942, in Cortland, New York, to the late Amery Anthony Tutino, Sr., and Theresa K. (Cappelli) Tutino. He graduated from Cortland High School and then attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in engineering. He served admirably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Peter was a real estate agent in Florida, where he lived for more than 30 years. He enjoyed watching professional baseball and football and was a Dodgers fan back to their days in Brooklyn. Peter was extremely passionate about fantasy football and gardening. He spent every morning in his retirement tending to the landscaping at his home.
He loved his family very much. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Andrea Tutino and her partner John Gilbert; Amy Tutino; son, Andrew Tutino and his wife Jennifer; sisters, Kathleen M. Tutino; Amy L. Piatak and Therese A. Tutino-Jones and her husband Dan; brother, Amery A. Tutino, Jr.; grandson, AJ; and aunts, Pauline Buttino and Annette Graziano. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were facilitated by Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland, N.Y.
