Paul M. Huther, 69, of Homer and formerly of Utica, passed away on Tuesday March 29, 2022. Born August 12, 1952 in Utica, Paul was the son of Paul and Margaret Hanley Huther. Paul was raised and attended school before working for a couple years. He met his wife to be in 1971 while she was a student at St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Utica. Upon her graduation Paul moved to Cortland to be with his wife in her hometown. Paul was employed by Smith-Corona and Rubbermaid as a set-up technician and in injections and moldings. He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, reading, listening to music and rescuing older dogs. Additionally, Paul was a 40 year member of the Homer Elks Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years; Juanita Huther and several cousins and uncles. Paul is survived by his son; James Huther, his sister; Mary (John) Grace, his niece and nephews; Matt, Mike and Aimee DiLiberto, his sister in law; Joan (Tim) Gates and their children; Mike and Peter Henry, his God children; Maddie and Mairn Fialla and five good friends, Clair Fialla, Jim Bush, Chet Beardsley, Dick Jones, Rod Cassaletti and all of his dog friends he left behind.
