Matthew B. Swindon, 49, of 1793 State Route 13, Cortland, passed away following a brief illness on August 17, 2022 in the Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca.
A lifelong area resident, Matt was born March 25, 1973, a son of Wayne and Karenlee Ribble Swindon.
The ‘Busch Master’ had been an operator at Suit-Kote for the past 10 years.
He loved being with his children and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was active member of the NRA.
Surviving is his wife of 14 years, Marjorie Sanford Swindon; his father, Wayne Swindon of Homer; children, Anthony Lukosavich (Mecca); Tasha Lukosavich; Titina (Jamie) Burleigh; and Nichole Lukosavich. Also surviving is his brother, Brian Swindon and ten grandchildren Zoey, Jaxson, JJ, Karen, Adyson, Brayden, Baylee, Blade, Athena and Arizona.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer, with Rev. Nathan Moshkowski officiating. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends and relatives the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Matt’s name may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
