Linda Ann Browning, 61, of Cortland, NY passed away on October 1, 2021. She was born on November 29, 1959, the daughter of the late James and Katherine (Gardner) Lucas.
Linda was a dedicated mother and friend. She loved her children above all. Throughout her life she took in many children and treated them as her own. She was a giving person and expressed that through her work with the local food pantry. Linda organized food drives as her way of supporting her community. She also has a background in dairy farming and advocated for the rights of migrant farmworkers.
Linda is survived by her spouse David Kelly, her children, Sherry (Jim) Browning-Adamczak, James Kelly, Toni Kelly, Krista Kelly, and her grandchildren Madison, Skylena, Owen, and Aubri Kelly, her two brothers, and one sister.
The family will be holding a private funeral service. Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 9, 2021 from 11:00-2:00pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln, Ave., Cortland, NY.
Masks will be required.
