Obituary of Leroy Albert Henry

March 26, 1927 – March 22, 2025

LeRoy Albert Henry was born March 26, 1927, to Albert F. Henry and Mary E. (Bolt) Henry in Cortland County where he spent most of his life aside from his time in the military. He served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

LeRoy died peacefully in his sleep on March 22, 2025, just four days before his 98th birthday. LeRoy enjoyed reading his newspaper and watching his game shows of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He also enjoyed watching old cowboy shows. He loved spending time with his family. LeRoy will be cremated, and his ashes will be laid to rest with his beloved wife of 62 years Wilma (Willie) Henry.

LeRoy leaves behind his three sons Robert Henry (Nancy) of Cortlandville, Randy Henry of york, SC, and Roger Henry (Patty) of North Rose. LeRoy was the eldest child of a large family of 6 brothers and 5
sisters. He is survived by his sister Patricia A. Arnold, residing in Hillsville, VA; and his brothers Richard M. Henry, residing in cortland, NY and Kenneth M. Henry, residing in McGraw, NY.

He is predeceased by his father Albert F. Henry, his mother Mary E. Henry (Bolt), his brothers Dudley
(Slim) Henry, Robert M. Henry (MlA in North Korea since 1953), Lawrence G. (Skip) Henry, Douglas W. Henry, and his sisters Alice M. Henry (Dutcher), Ethel L. Henry (Homer), Pamela J. Henry (Gridley), and Pearline M. Henry.

LeRoy also leaves behind 12 nephews, 9 nieces, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
