Kimberly Ann (Aylesworth) Neal passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2023, just 3 months after her 54th birthday.
Kimberly Ann Aylesworth was born February 13, 1969 at Cortland Memorial Hospital to Sheralyn (Cottom) and James Aylesworth. She was the baby of the family, and only 17 months younger than her big sister, Kelly, which made for some fun times and sibling rivalry at its best growing up.
Kimberly was a graduate of the Homer High School class of 1987. She worked various jobs throughout the years, but for the past 20+ years she has worked at All-Mode Communications in Freeville, where she met and cherished many friends.
Kimberly was predeceased by her Mother, Sheralyn “Sherry” Wasley, who she couldn’t wait to see again, her Step-Father Frank Wasley, her grandparents, and many friends over the years.
Kimberly has left behind her Father and Step-Mother, James and Gloria Aylesworth. Her sister Kelly Aylesworth (Brian Fuller). Her Step-Bother Jeff Court (Maria). Her children Jordan Smith (Jesse Lee) and Anthony “Tony” Neal. Her 6 grandchildren, Kennedy, Mason, Ava, Penelope, Elijah, and Bernard. Her niece; Jessica (Jake) Burhans, Kim’s companion for many years Michael “Mac” MacPherson, her very close cousin/best friend Wendy “Noey” Aylesworth, her Father-In-Law James Neal, her dear friend and neighbor Rebecca “Becky” Potter, her fur baby boy Oliver “Ollie” and many beloved friends.
After her mom’s passing in 2014, Kim lost a little bit of herself. But she was still always there for her loved ones, always a shoulder to lean on, and would say to so many people, “I just love you honey” every time she had the chance. She never missed a moment to remind those around her how much they meant to her.
She is now snuggling with her fur babies Jack and Maggie again, she is refreshing heavens gardens, and she is visiting her loved ones who she has missed so incredibly much. She made sure to make it back in time to spend Mother’s Day with her Mommy. We all know she will be right there to greet us with that big smile and warm hug when our time is up.
Services for Kimberly will be on Sunday, May 21 at Riccardi Funeral Home on 69 North Main Street in Cortland at 2 p.m. with Rev. Adam Gosser officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, Kim would love if you made a donation to a local animal shelter, a plantation nursery, or a charity of your choice.
The family invites you to join them to continue Kim’s celebration, immediately following the services at Foxy’s on Homer Ave. in Cortland.
We do accept Obits to be included from other Funeral Homes at No-Charge.
