Mr. Kim Alan Storey, 54 of Cohoes, NY passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2021, at his home. Kim was born January 21, 1967, in Cortland NY to Bernice Rogers.
Kim attended Cortland Jr. and Sr. High School. After high school, Kim joined the United States Army as a Combat Engineer and is a Veteran of Desert Storm. He was an avid fisherman, a fan of wrestling, Yankees baseball, and was always ready to cheer on his “Oakland Raiders”, while remaining a dedicated Giants fan at the same time. And unbeknownst to many he was an extraordinary wiffle ball player. Kim, to put it simply, was loved deeply by so many, and we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace surrounded by light.
Kim was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Bernice B. Storey. He is survived by parents John and Bernice Rogers, his brother Rob Storey, niece Megan Storey, his partner of many years Mary Legawiec, and her children Mary, Michael, and Kathleen whom he adored. He also leaves behind an Aunt Lillian Monty, an Uncle Charles “Dutch” Storey and Carol Storey, as well as many cherished cousins.
Services will be held at Riccardi Funeral Home in Cortland, New York. Visitation will be January 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM with non-denominal service following at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Cheningo Cemetery in Truxton, New York. Interment will take place at a date and time to be determined.
