Obituary of Sharon Peters

Sharon Peters born in Ithaca, NY on October 23, 1949, a long time resident of Ithaca and Dryden NY, joined her parents, David E. & Mary D. Peters, along with sisters Joann Peters and Marlene Cortright-Keller and brother in law, Howard Keller in Heaven on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Sharon leaves behind her nieces and their families – Michelle “Mitch” (Ken) Baker, Homer, NY and Penny (Russ) Horner, Martinsburg, WV. Her ex-brother-in-law, Charles Cortright and her good friend, Gary Pataki Jr.

Most will remember Sharon for her love of animals. And the pride and care she showed to all of the dogs she groomed for 49 years at the Clip Joint on S. Cayuga St, Ithaca.
As per our aunt’s wishes, services will be private. Please remember her as you go over the South Cayuga Street Bridge with a “honk” of your horn and also, consider making donations to the SPCA of Tompkins County in her memory.
