Obituary of James K. Burch

James K. Burch, 59, of Cortland, NY passed away on July 15, 2024 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center following a cancer diagnosis.
He is the son of the late Dorla Stillman (Thornton) and Donald Burch, stepfather was John H Stillman Sr.

A wonderful & loving husband, father, brother, and uncle – he will be missed by his partner in life Doreen E Burch; his 2 children: Ivan G Montoya and Ninapaqari (Rick Sterling) Montoya; his 3 brothers: Paul (Becky) Stillman, John (Lynn DeMartino) Stillman Jr., and Christopher (Becky Hughes) Stillman; as well as several nieces and nephews.

James (Jim/Jimmy) was a well known and liked member of the Cortland community. His light-heartedness and gentle, friendly spirit will not go unnoticed.

A small private memorial will be planned for a later date to celebrate James’ life.

The family would like to thank the staff at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
