James H, Gaines, 76, of McGraw, passed away at home on Saturday Oct 8, 2022. Born Jan 8, 1946 in DeRuyter, James was the son of George and Margaret Gaines.
James was formerly employed with THERM in Ithaca, N.Y. and most recently Marietta Corp. in Cortland.
Survivors include; his two sons; Harry (Naomi) Gaines of Taylor, N.Y. and Ivan (Kari) of McGraw, N.Y., two brothers; Joe of Phelps and Jack of Minoa., three sisters; Margaret Hirthler of Endicott, Joanne Williams of Homer and Sue Harper of Michigan. Also, five grandchildren; Blaine, Kaleb, Olivia, MacKenzie and Lila as well as several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his wife; Margaret M. Gaines in 2020.
