Gregory W. Kuske, 77, of Limestone, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home.
Greg was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Merlin and Dorothy (Wilson) Kuske on September 22, 1946. He went to New Richmond High School and graduated in 1964. Greg joined the Marine Corp in 1964 went on to serve his country in Vietnam, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant in the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and was highly decorated, including the Purple Heart and Silver Star.
After his military service, Greg moved to Richmond, VA, where he began a 30+ year career with General Electric Corporation as a Field Service Engineer and met and married the love of his life, Ola. A few years later they moved to Homer, NY where they raised their family.
Greg also supported and participated in several veterans’ groups and causes throughout his life, including volunteering at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN, reunions with his Pop-A-Smoke brothers and sisters, and numerous VFW chapters.
He later moved to Limestone and bought a small farm where he and Ola spent their final years together, with family and friends close by.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Dorothy Kuske, brother Brad Kuske, sister Molly Hetrick, brother Matthew Kuske.
Greg is survived by his wife, Ola, daughters Barclay Diamond (Paul) of Homer NY, and Tonya Gentry (Buck) of Chattanooga, TN, son Brian Kuske (Melissa) of Limestone, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Gentiva Hospice and Ballad Hospice for the support received.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
