Ekaterina Marchuk, 89, of Cortland, NY, went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.
Ekaterina was born in Ukraine, the daughter of the late Fedor and Anna Boyko.
She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1989. Ekaterina was a long time member of the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church where she was a true prayer warrior and a strong pillar in the church community. Though she faced many trials in life she was always ready to offer words of encouragement and wisdom to everyone she encountered, both young and old. She loved her family greatly, including all of her grand children, great-grand children and great-great-grandchildren.
Ekaterina is predeceased by her husband Vasily and she is survived by her children Mikhail (Neonila) Marchuk of Cortland, Anatolij (Olga) Marchuk of Canada, and Stefania (Vasily) Kanichuk of Cortland; her grandchildren and their families; Victoria (Alex) Androshchuk, Veniamin Marchuk, Zhanna Marchuk all of Cortland; Anna (Vasily) Onofreychuk of Rochester; Ihor (Lidia) Marchuk, Andrij (Natalie) Marchuk, Julia (Derek) Davies, Valerij Marchuk all of Canada; Anatoliy (Oksana) Kanichuk of Chattanooga TN, Oksana (Vasily) Levitskiy of Homer, Maria (Andrey) Yanchuk of Ukraine, Svetlana (Vitaliy) Androshchuk of Ukriane. She is also survived by 34 great-grand children and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
