Our beloved mother and grandmother, Doris A Dullaghan, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2021 in Cortland, New York.
Doris was born in the Bronx, on September 7, 1930, to Frank and Florence Nowell. She attended St. Vincent Ferrer High School and graduated in 1948. She worked as a secretary prior to marrying, was a devoted homemaker for 25 years to her five children and then rejoined the workforce. She enjoyed working and retired from the Crescent Cortland Corset Company.
Doris treasured the time she spent with her family whom she spoke of with such love and pride and kept in her daily prayers. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, reading, music and dancing. She will be remembered for her gentle and compassionate spirit, very kind heart, and a beautiful smile which always made you feel welcome.
Doris is survived by her sister, Frances (Frank) Kartz of Pikeville, Tennessee; her children: James (Helen) Dullaghan of Lakeworth, Fla., Ann Dullaghan (David Gage) of Marathon, Maureen (Charles) Buckel of Cutchogue, Doreen (Raj) Sharma of Cumming, Ga., and Patricia (Scott) Walter of Cortland; and her grandchildren: Stephanie, David, Daniel, Charles, Kira, Caitlin, Scott, and Stephen.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, James L. Dullaghan; her siblings: Irene Flock, Elaine Nugent, and Audrey Hatzelhoffer; her parents and aunt, Anne Sauve; and her granddaughter, Danielle Neuman.
