Diana Catalano Dovi, 70, returned to her heavenly home to walk with Jesus on February 2, 2023. Her family will cherish the wonderful memories made together through the years, as we all patiently wait to walk together again in God’s Kingdom.
Diana was born on August 6th, 1952, in Cortland, NY. A 1970 graduate of Cortland High School, Diana married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Dovi, in 1972. Together they walked in faith devoted to each other, raising three children. Diana was a dedicated homemaker, seeing to the needs of her family, managing busy schedules, cooking amazing meals, and tending a warm, loving home. Diana was devoted to her family, and her greatest comfort in life was seeing her children and grandchildren living healthy and happy lives.
Diana was predeceased by her parents, James and Linda (Dintino) Catalano, and her father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Mary Ellen Dovi. Diana leaves behind her immediate and large extended family. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 50 years, Thomas; their three children, Thomas, Joyel (Mark) Ecker, and Jenna (George) Chalsen; her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Mark T., Leah, Jack, Blake, and Richard. Diana also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Tony, Jane, Mary Ann, Philomena, and Michael; many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 7th, from 5:00 pm– 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St. Cortland, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Church, in Cortland. Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
