Obituary of David W. Wesser


David W. Wesser, 74, of Taylor, NY, passed away on Saturday January 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 19, 1947 in Binghamton, NY; a son of the late William Wesser and Charlotte Burley Warner.

David was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Army from 1965 – 1968.

He retired from Cooper Tools after 20 years of employment. He had also worked at the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department in Everett, WA, Ditch Witch and the Raymond Corp. in Greene, NY.

David loved his family. His greatest joy was living in the country, operating a hobby farm with his wife, Judi, and having his family around him. He loved to hunt, fish, and trap. He loved to camp and made many years of memories with his children, camping all across the United States. David especially enjoyed his family camping trips to Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks.

Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Judi Corty Wesser; his children, Chris (Kerry) Wesser of Key Largo, FL; Tiffany (David) Gallow of Pigeon Forge, TN; Julie (David) Steacy and Holly (Kris) Loomis, both of Cincinnatus; his siblings, Gary Montross of Nevada; Cindi Holovnia of Wilmington, NC and Richard (Valerie) Bennett of Owego. David has fourteen grandchildren; Samantha (Josh) Nichols, and Alex Wesser; Nicole, Marc, Brett, Christian, and Gabrielle Gallow; Kody (Crystal), Dawson (Madison), and Kara Steacy; Rhiannon, Hope, Kristopher, and Harmony Loomis; Seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15th, from 2-3pm, at the German Baptist Church, 196 County Road 5, McDonough, NY 13801-Open to all who wish to honor his memory.
