Charlotte K. Warner, 93, of Cortland, NY passed away on Friday September 3, 2021.

Charlotte was born November 17, 1927 in Harpursville, a daughter of the late Otis and Helen Snowgovski Burley. Charlotte grew up in Greene, NY where she lived with her grandparents, Bessie and Henry Burley.

Charlotte worked for several companies and held multiple jobs throughout her lifetime. A few jobs she was most well known for were Link Aviation in Binghamton, NY, Hewlitt Packard, in Rancho Bernardo, CA, and Pan Alaska Fisheries, in Unalaska, Alaska. Charlotte was the Domestic Laundry Engineer for all of the employees aboard the multiple fishing and crabbing ships she worked on for more than 15 years. Charlotte was most recently a member of Parkside Assembly Church in Cortland, NY, where she attended and helped with the children’s ministries for several years. Charlotte was well known for her crochet work. She crocheted beautiful afghans and knitted many, many pairs of slippers for her family, friends, and missionaries. Charlotte worked and volunteered in the Cortland Senior Center for several years.

Surviving is her children David (Judi) Wesser of Taylor, NY; Gary Montross of Elko, NV; Cynthia Holovnia of Wilmington, NC; and Richard ‘Dick’ (Valerie) Bennett of Owego; twelve grandchildren, Chris Wesser of Key Largo, FL; Tiffany Gallow, Julie Steacy and Holly Loomis of Cincinnatus; Alan Montross of Elko, NV; Sara Montross of Sunbury, OH; Billy Holovnia of Wilmington, NC; Bobby Holvonia of Louisburg, NC; Shannon McGillivray of Charleston, SC; Johnny Holovnia of Wilmington, NC; Terry Silba of Newark Valley and Robin Davis of Endicott; twenty-eight great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Charlotte was predeceased by a brother, Otis Burley, Jr. and a sister, Bernice Goodwin.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Coventry Rd., Greene, NY.

A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at the Berean Bible Church, Route 12, Greene, immediately following the graveside service.
