Bessie E. O’Neill, 84, of Cortland, NY, and formerly of Marathon, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at her home.
Bessie was born in Virgil, NY, on October 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Leah Woodard Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Michael O’Neill, and siblings, Carol Blakeley of Marathon, Kathleen Reynolds of Cassiwa, PA, and Richard Smith of Waterloo; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Gerald Smith and Mary Talbot.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services.
